Pinned messages
Four boards Arclo can keep permanently pinned and rebuild every fifteen minutes. The Levels, Achievements and Invite leaderboards, and the Analytics statistics card.
A leaderboard posted with a command is out of date the moment somebody talks. A pinned board is one message Arclo owns, pins, and rebuilds on a schedule, so #leaderboard is a channel with a live scoreboard in it rather than a graveyard of old ones.

How it behaves
- Rebuilt every fifteen minutes, from the feature's own builder. The pinned board and the command answer with the same numbers because they are the same code.
- Switching a pin on posts it within a minute. A board somebody deletes is posted again on its next rebuild, within fifteen minutes, and so are the changes you save, a new channel included.
- Switching the pin off deletes the message. A board frozen at last Tuesday is worse than no board.
- Switching the system off leaves the message alone, so a temporary disable does not destroy it. It is not rebuilt until the system is back on.
- Moving the pin to another channel removes the old message first.
- A board never pings anybody. And on a leaderboard that keeps its dropdown, the ranking somebody picks sticks: the rebuild does not snap it back.
- Channel
- Where the board lives. Arclo needs View Channel, Send Messages, Embed Links and Attach Files there to post it, and Pin Messages to pin it.
- Rankings
- Every ranking: members switch it on the message keeps the board's dropdown, so anybody can re-sort it in place. Just one ranking shows one ordering with no dropdown.
- Opening ranking
- Where the board starts, and how you put it back after members have re-sorted it. With just one ranking it is called Which ranking.
The statistics card has no rankings. It has a Window (Today to start with), the sections it carries and its own message, on the Pinned Stats tab of Server Analytics.
Discord allows 250 pins per channel
If the channel is full, Arclo still posts and rebuilds the board, unpinned, and tries the pin again on every rebuild. Arclo also needs Pin Messages in that channel to pin at all.
Setting one up
Open the system's own page
There is no central Pinned page: a board belongs to the system that produces it, and its settings sit beside the rest of that system's.
Switch the pinned board on and pick a channel
The switch is in the header of the Pinned leaderboard card (Pinned statistics on Analytics). A channel nobody talks in is the right home. The point is a message that stays where you left it.
Choose the rankings
Every ranking keeps the board's live dropdown, so anybody can re-sort it in place. Just one ranking pins one ordering. The statistics card asks for a window and its sections instead.
Why one sweep rather than four
“Every fifteen minutes” is one promise made on four dashboard cards. Four separate timers would be four promises, and they would drift apart, so one sweep rebuilds all four boards, and the awkward parts (a channel that moved, a message somebody deleted, a pin that came unpinned) are handled once instead of four times.
Troubleshooting
The board posted but is not pinned.
Arclo needs Pin Messages in that channel, and the channel must have fewer than 250 pins.
It has not updated.
Boards rebuild every fifteen minutes, not on every change, and a saved change shows on the next rebuild. If it has been longer, check the system is switched on and that Arclo can still see the channel, send messages, embed links and attach files there. Without any of them it skips the board until it can.
I switched the pin off and the message disappeared.
That is deliberate. A frozen board is worse than none. Switching the system off instead leaves the message alone.
Can I have two boards in one channel?
Yes. They are four independent pins and nothing stops them sharing a channel.
