Verify System

Verification is a message in a channel that grants a role when somebody interacts with it. Everything about that message (its channel, its design, its buttons, the roles it hands out and what it says back) is configured on the dashboard, and it is published straight to Discord from there.

   Switch the system on

   Onboarding & Access → Verify System.

   Use Quick Setup, or build it by hand

   Quick Setup is four short steps: how members verify (one button, a button with a CAPTCHA or a code game, or a reaction), the role they get and an optional minimum account age, the message, and the channel. It can create a #verification channel that everyone can see, and, if you turn it on, hide the rest of the server until members verify. The steps below are the full builder.

   Create a configuration

   A server can keep up to 3: a main gate, a rules re-accept, an age gate. Each is its own message.

   Choose the type

   Emoji (members react), Button or Dropdown, the tabs at the top of Reactions and roles. The builder only shows the settings that type actually uses: an emoji panel has no private replies and no challenge, because a reaction can't answer privately.

   Design the message

   Title, description, color, thumbnail, image, footer, fields, or a Components V2 layout. There is a default template that reads sensibly out of the box and changes its instruction line to match the type you picked, until you edit it yourself.

   Add options and their roles

   One option for a plain gate. Each option carries a label, an optional emoji and the roles it grants.

   Pick the channel and publish

   Choose a channel, or let Arclo create a read-only #verification channel for you. Publishing posts the message; publishing again edits it in place rather than posting a second one. If somebody deletes the message in Discord, the builder says so and the next publish posts it again.

Shared with Reaction Roles. New verification configurations default to Grant only, which is almost always what a gate wants.

Roles

Each emoji, button or dropdown option carries its own roles; normally one option with your member role. Create a new role in the role picker makes one on the spot.

Allow multiple rolesOn by default

Whether a member may hold roles from more than one option. When off, picking a new option removes the previous option's roles.

Message above the embed

A plain line above the card, which is where a mention would actually ping.

Private replies

Button and dropdown panels only. Every outcome (verified, already verified, role removed, requirements not met, something went wrong) is an editable message only that member sees, never a DM. Each button or option can override them.

Anti-bot protection

A Code minigame (press the button showing the code you were given) or an Image CAPTCHA (type the characters from a distorted image), one at a time, on button and dropdown panels. Three wrong answers lock the member out for a minute, and a challenge expires after five minutes. Its wording is under Challenge texts in Private replies.

Minimum account age

In days, blank for no check. A younger account gets the Requirements not met reply, or on an emoji panel has its reaction taken back, and the attempt is logged.

Two ways to gate a server

1. 1Grant a member role. @everyone can see the verification channel and nothing else; the member role opens the rest. Cleanest, and the usual choice.
2. 2Remove an unverified role. Everybody arrives with a restricted role (from Auto Roles); point the option's roles at that role and set the Role mode to Reverse, and verifying takes it off. Useful when you want the restriction to be visible. In Reverse a second click puts the role back, so a lone button reads best with a line telling members not to press it twice.
