Help and Arclo's own commands

Five commands about Arclo itself. They belong to the Information system, which has no master switch. /help going dark because somebody turned a system off would be the worst possible failure for the command that explains the rest.

How /help works

Three levels, navigated with buttons and a browse menu:

   Overview

   What Arclo is, that every system starts switched off until you turn it on from the dashboard, that a system that is on can be driven from Discord or the dashboard, where to look next, and the links.

2. 2

   A system

   What it does, whether it is on in this server, and its commands. Large systems lead with the eight people reach for most and offer the rest behind a button that lists them all, eight to a page. Configure opens its dashboard page.

3. 3

   One command

   The full description, its syntax, who may run it and any permission your dashboard adds, whether it is on here, and a Settings button that opens it on Command Info.

• Ask /help for something that does not exist and it answers with its closest guesses and the browse menu rather than an error.
• The buttons keep working across restarts. Everything the next page needs is carried in the button itself rather than remembered somewhere.
• If somebody presses a button on a public help message they did not open, they get their own private copy rather than taking over yours.
• The frame (color, footer, thumbnail) comes from your server's reply design, so help pages can be restyled without their content going stale.

The welcome message

When Arclo is added to a server it sends one message: what Arclo can do, that none of it is on until you switch it on, the commands for finding your way around, and Open Dashboard, Documentation and Support Server buttons. It goes by DM to whoever added Arclo. If Arclo cannot tell who that was (it reads the audit log, which needs View Audit Log) or their DMs are closed, it goes to the server owner, and failing that to the server's system channel or the first channel Arclo can post in. Only one of them gets it.

A reconnect or a restart never sends it again. Removing Arclo and inviting it back does: within the 14 days your settings are kept, the message says they are back, lists any permission Arclo is now missing, and reminds you that Discord put Arclo's role at the bottom of the list, below the roles it gives.

Links

Every link Arclo prints is a real one or is left out entirely. There are no placeholder URLs in a live message. Pages carry at most three link buttons; anything else is a text link in the body, because five identical grey rectangles is not a menu.
