Troubleshooting
A checklist for when a system is switched on and still does nothing, ordered by how often each cause turns out to be the answer.

It is sorted by frequency, not by likelihood in your specific case. The first four causes account for most reports in the support server.
1. Is the system actually on?
Check the switch at the top of the system's page, and the dot on its sidebar row. Some systems also have a second switch inside. Welcome & Goodbye has one per tab, each item you build (a panel, a rule, a feed) has its own switch on its card in the list, and a logger has its own switch separate from the system it logs.
2. Can Arclo see and write in that channel?
Right-click the channel → Edit Channel → Permissions → find Arclo. A category-level deny beats a server-level allow, and a channel Arclo cannot view is one it cannot log, filter or post in.
3. Is Arclo's role high enough?
Anything involving roles or punishing members fails against people who outrank the bot, and automatic systems fail quietly. If it works on a normal member and not on a moderator, this is the answer. A server that removed and re-added Arclo has a new Arclo role at the bottom of the list.
4. Is something exempt?
Most systems have exemption lists, and they are easy to forget:
- Auto Moderation: each rule's own exemptions, plus Who and what is exempt, which every rule inherits: roles, channels, categories and members, and by default bots, administrators and moderators. Test a rule from an ordinary account, not your own.
- Levels: Who can earn XP and Where XP can be earned, and a channel multiplier of -100%.
- Logging: the Ignore card for channels, roles, members and message prefixes, plus Ignore bots and Ignore Arclo's own actions.
- Moderation: immune roles and members, server-wide and per punishment. They stop moderators' commands only; Auto Moderation and Security have exemptions of their own.
- Security: Trust levels, where Full bypass means never counted at all.
5. Is a command restricted?
A command can be switched off, limited to roles or channels, or limited to Discord permissions from Command Info. A command that is switched off leaves the slash menu. One limited to roles or channels stays in everybody's slash menu and answers the wrong person with a refusal, because a bot can only hide a command from people missing a permission. To hide it by role, use Discord's own Server Settings → Integrations → Arclo.
6. Is the interaction older than 15 minutes?
Buttons and dropdowns on messages Arclo posted keep working indefinitely. Replies to your command do not: Discord gives an application fifteen minutes to edit a reply, after which pagers and menus on it stop responding. Run the command again.
7. Did you check the logs?
With Logging set up, Arclo records its own actions and its own failures: each system's logger (switched on under Logging → System Logs) notes what it could not do and usually why, and the Arclo category's Command failed catches commands that errored. This turns most remaining questions into an answer in one line.
Symptoms and their usual cause
