Polls

Polls are created from the dashboard or with /poll create. The command takes the question and up to ten choices as options, then shows a review with Edit, Start, Customize Message and Cancel; a draft nobody starts is dropped after 15 minutes.

Choices

• Up to 20, marked A to T. Letters rather than numbers, because Discord's keycap emoji stop at ten and eleven onward need two glyphs, which a button's single emoji slot cannot hold.
• Twenty choices is four rows of buttons plus one control row, which is Discord's five-row maximum.
• Pick your own emoji per choice and Arclo leaves it alone; the lettered markers are only a default. On a reaction poll, no two choices can share one.

Rules

Voting mode

Single choice (the default) or Multiple choices. In single mode, picking again replaces the previous vote in one operation, so a double-click can never leave two.

Choices per member

For multiple-choice polls. 0 lets a member pick every choice.

Allow changing votes

On by default: members can switch to another choice or take their vote back while the poll runs. Off makes every vote final.

Maximum votes

A total number of votes that closes the poll automatically. Different from the per-member cap. 0 is no limit.

Closes

After a duration (1 day by default), At a specific time, or Only manually.

Roles allowed to vote / blocked from voting

Empty lets everyone vote. A blocked role never can, even if it is also allowed.

Results

With results set to live (the default), the poll message shows each choice with its bar, percentage and count as the votes come in. With hidden or anonymous results it lists the choices only until the poll closes, and the tally appears in the closed message, the Results button, the announcement and /poll show. Progress bars, Percentages and Vote counts are switches on how the results are drawn, all on by default.

Extras

• Optional Results, Voters and Remove my vote buttons, all off by default.
• Announce the results, off by default, posts a separate results message naming the winner in the poll's channel when it closes. The Poll closed message replaces the poll itself either way.
• Roles pinged when the poll goes live and Ping @everyone notify on the first publish only. Pin the poll pins it while it runs and unpins it when it closes.
• A Discussion thread, public or private, can be opened under the poll and archived a set time after the poll closes.
• Poll creator roles may create polls and manage their own; Poll manager roles may edit, close and delete any poll and see hidden results. Up to five roles each, on the Settings tab. Administrators always have access.

Commands
