Reminders

Two audiences at once: members setting themselves a nudge with /reminder create, and staff scheduling a one-time or repeating message from the dashboard.

Time zones

Creating one

When

In /reminder create: a duration (20m, in 1h30m), a time (18:30, 5pm), tomorrow 9am, a weekday (monday 18:00) or a date (2026-12-01 09:00), from a minute to two years away. On the dashboard, a date and time in the reminder's own Timezone (it starts on your browser's).

Repeat

Every N minutes, hours, days or weeks, from 5 minutes to a year. Minute and hour repeats step within a daily window; day and week repeats anchor to the start date, so they stay on the same weekday through daylight saving. Dashboard reminders can also pick the days of the week, a first and last day, and Stop after a number of sends (up to 1,000).

Where

A DM, or a channel. From the command a DM is the default, and a channel needs Manage Server or a role on the command's allow list. A dashboard reminder goes to a channel or to the DMs of a member you pick.

Mentions

A role can be mentioned only if it is mentionable, or you hold Mention Everyone: the same rule Discord applies to people.

Message

Plain by default. /reminder create embed:True opens a short form; dashboard reminders get the full editor, and a test button that delivers the current design within about twenty seconds.

Pause

Running them

• One switch per reminder. Enabled or disabled. Disabling freezes it; enabling recomputes the next run from now.
• A repeating reminder delivered by DM carries a Pause button, so the recipient can stop it without opening anything. A one-time DM reminder carries snooze buttons instead (10 min, 1 hour and Tomorrow), and a reminder posted in a channel carries neither.
• A failed send is tried 3 times in all; the last error is shown on the dashboard list.
• A recurring reminder more than 6 hours late skips that occurrence rather than firing a stale one. A one-off always sends, however late.
• Reminders per member, on the Settings tab, caps how many active reminders one member may create with the commands (3 by default, up to 50). A server holds up to 50 reminders in all, and a finished one-time reminder clears itself a day after it sends.
• The Reminders logger records reminders created, changed, deleted, paused, resumed, sent and failed.

Remind Me

Right-click any message → Apps → Remind Me sets a DM reminder that links back to it. A small form asks when (the same formats as /reminder create) and for an optional note. It is the fastest path to coming back to a message.
